Write For Us
Would you like to become recognized as a tax expert and published author? Or maybe publish a single tax or accounting related article which you’ve written? Now you can!
Ten valid reasons to contribute to the Consultant Supply Room
- You don’t have to setup and pay for your own blog. Just send us your article in any common format and if it is approved, we’ll publish it for you.
- This blog has a wide audience which gives it considerable amounts of exposure. Writing for the Consultant Supply Room means having a lot of potential readers who already subscribe to our blog or visit the site regularly.
- You write the article, we’ll take care of promoting it.
- Besides the feedback from our readers, we’ll inform you about the statistics of your article.
- Granted you license your article to us for use on this site, and other possible related initiatives started by this blog (e.g., a book), you are free to define the type of license that you like, be it traditional copyright in which you reserve all rights (default) or an open license such as Creative Commons.
- You don’t have to go crazy trying to render nice looking HTML, as we publish in PHP and PDF formats, and take care of formatting for you.
- Every article can have a short biography, a link to your site or blog and even a photo. Each article that you write will be published under your own name or nickname (if you prefer).
- Regular authors (basically anyone who publishes an article once in a while) can have their own “about page” here on the Consultant Supply Room.
- If your first language is not English, but your English abilities are at a very good level, we’ll even polish your article (within reason) for you, so that you can have your piece published in “Americanized” English.
- You are volunteering to contribute to an exciting project, which promotes the beauty and importance of building professional practices.
What kind of articles are we looking for?
We aim to publish quality articles on a variety of subjects, from “well explained” tax law and accounting standards, as well as professional marketing and “Rainmaking”. Articles can range from a few hundred words, up to a few thousand (we may split the article/tutorial over more than one post in some instances). Pure tax or accounting, if it’s interesting and well written original work (before publishing any article, we’ll check to ensure that it’s not already a copyrighted piece), we’ll publish it. We ask however that you do not submit any technical or research papers; this is not the right place to publish such works. We are looking for material that promotes the practice of bookkeeping, accounting and tax, (and professions that are very closely related) and that can be read and enjoyed also by people who are not an EA, CPA, JD or one of those other fancy accreditations.
Please note that every contribution is on a volunteer basis, for which there is no monetary compensation. This policy may change in the future according to the growing popularity of this site.
Cool, how do I get started?
